Halloween 2009 Costumes

November 3, 2009

I had no clue what I wanted to be this Halloween.  However, after finding a cute little dress from Target with tons of black tulle, I knew it would be perfect.  Paired with a red corset, fishnet stockings, shoebooties (that’s what I call ankle boots), and doll makeup, what was I?  I don’t know.  Just a general vampy character.

Whoa, look at my lashes (three coats of mascara)!

That photo kinda reminds me of Blair Witch Project.

And now for Dameian’s costume.  He decided on Halloween day that he wanted to be a deranged farmer serial killer.  We set off to three different thrift stores looking for overalls.   None were to be found.  So he wore a pair of old jeans and a plaid shirt.  Then he fashioned a mask out of a burlap-look fabric (from a ladies shirt found at The Goodwill), cut eyeholes, and sewed up the back.  Well, I did the sewing part.

The fun part was laying the costume out on the garage floor and dripping blood, more like acrylic paint, all over it.  Really, it was fun splattering it all around.

Here he is with a Captain Morgan and Diet Coke, sipping through his mouth hole.

Hi Ashley!

Love you like this…I can’t see anything too costumey though!:):) Those are my everyday approach to eyelashes—lately been wearing stick-ons–for real!!! You look gorgeous and that one does remind of Blair witch!!!!!

Can you please send me a link to the award so I can work on what I am to do?

love, kelee

All I could think about when I saw D’s costume was “The Strangers” and that movie kept me screaming all throughout. You looked super cute and the doll face make-up was awesome. We had a “whig” party last night for “Remember Remember the Fifth of November” and it made me think of you b/c everyone was dressed up in awesome wigs… It was very creative and thats what you are!

Ha, the cashier at the bar we went to said he looked like the Strangers too. He kept weirding me out while I was putting my makeup on in the bathroom. He’d come up and just stand still in the doorway and I’d see him in the mirror, lol.
