To Do List: Dining Chair Makeover

September 27, 2009

This time tomorrow, these dining chairs will be a different color – creamy white.  I know, I too love the shade of blue in this photo.  Looks a lot like my blue bench.  However, this color is just a result of a little editing.

The chairs actually are a more dusty country blue.  Like this:

Gah, it’s really more country looking than that last photo.

So, I want to paint them white.  I think the white will contrast nicely with the pale maple stain of the table.  Eventually, my kitchen will no longer be yellow.  I’m hoping it will be a calm blue green gray someday.  With white bead board all the way around.

While I was taking pictures, I shot these as well.

In case it’s not obvious, I will be making an apple pear cake later this week.  Yum!

I love the pear picture. My sister collects pears and has her kitchen in pears.

I think they would look great white but then sand some places so you see some of the aqua blue coming through.

I hope you will come by for a visit. I have a Knock Off party every Monday, a Celebrate the Holidays party on Wed and Its So Very Cottagey home tour every Fri.

OH my gosh! I had an almost identical table and 2 chairs in my very first home! I had a very long thin kitchen and this was the only table I could get to fit.

I think creamy white would be really cool looking with your table too. Can’t wait for the ‘reveal’!

Pretty either way…I love the blue but I love white too!
Regardless…with your photography…they could be mustard and ketchup splattered and still look beautiful. :)

Have a fantastic week!

Well–the top photo looks cool! But I realize it is not the real thing! I do love the wall color with the photo , however….I assume that is the real thing?
